#36: Giddy

I recently came across the most excellent textile in a most unlikely place: just about the cutest little bench you ever did see, and I had to have it, of course. Giddy up!

(Featured here with a classic pair of vintage Packer boots by Justin, about the closest thing to a real cowboy boot you’ll ever see me in. Pointy toes, no, not me, never.)

I can just imagine this bench in some little cowpoke’s bedroom.

Here’s an example of a really incredible Western motif from the 1940’s or 50’s.

Look at those darlin’ singin’ cowboys, gathered around the campfire, having themselves a hootenanny.

Of note is the cowboy on the bucking bronco in the lower right corner. This is a popular and recurring image in vintage western wear…

I’m crazy about this Cowboys n’ Indians stuff, and am particularly fired up right now because I’ve just booked my next trip out west for this spring, conspicuously designed around prime “hunting” ground…

Here’s an unfortunate picture of me taken two and a half months in the future. Weird, because I thought I’d said “no” to cowboy boots…
