#149: True Grit

December 15, 2010

It isn’t often that Hollywood saddles up and take on my favorite genre, the Western.  Countin’ down the days until this one rides into Town.

The Coen brothers’ True Grit, looking grittier than the John Wayne original.

I’d like to try to pull this look off at the company holiday party tomorrow, but probably won’t. (Just had a flash of that amazing scene in True Lies where Arnold AKA Harry rides into the elevator on his steed and am now imagining the act of pulling it off myself, only dressed this lil’ lady… “GOING UP???” OK, clearly I digress.  Workplace pipe dreams!)

Fringed buckskin jacket, perfect porch.

1870’s western wear, ain’t nothin’ like the real thing.

Pow.

See ya at the movies.
